The Loreley steam yacht was built for Mrs. Catharina Seipp, widow of Conrad Seipp, the founder of Seipp's Brewery in Chicago in the 1850's. This yacht graced Geneva Lake from 1890 through 1920, and Black Point Estate and Gardens is one of the Wisconsin Historical Society's historic sites.
